In a strategic effort to foster holistic student development, SD Al Falah Darussalam 2 Tropodo successfully organized the Scout Camp: Level 1 Competition (LT 1). The event took place from April 30 to May 1, 2026, at the Legok Asri outdoor education center, involving the active participation of all Grade V students.
Fostering Independence and Collaborative Synergy
The Principal of SD Al Falah Darussalam 2, Ustadzah Juniati, emphasized that the program was centered around the theme “Diligent, Skilled, and Joyful”. This theme serves as a pedagogical framework designed to cultivate essential life skills, including independence, discipline, and effective teamwork. Scout Camp serves as a vital extracurricular medium for meaningful, out-of-classroom learning. It translates abstract values into practical experiences,” Ustadzah Juniati remarked.
A Curriculum of Practical Life Skills
Over the course of the two-day, one-night residency, students engaged in a rigorous curriculum of scouting activities:
- Students practiced the art of tent-building, which required precise task delegation and an understanding of basic survival techniques.
- A nature trekking session challenged participants to navigate various “challenge posts.” These stations served as practical assessments for the General Proficiency Requirements (SKU), testing their technical scouting knowledge.
- Beyond technical skills, the activities were designed to sharpen the students’ ability to solve problems under pressure and exercise personal responsibility.
The evening sessions focused on social cohesion and creative expression. The traditional campfireand performing arts showcase allowed various squads to demonstrate their creativity, thereby boosting self-confidence and strengthening communal bonds. True to the institution’s integrated Islamic values, the second day commenced with Qiyamul Lail (night prayers) and Fajr congregation, ensuring that spiritual growth remains the foundation of physical activity.
Culinary Literacy and Collaborative Autonomy
One of the highlights of the final day was the collaborative cooking session. Working within their respective squads, students managed resources and roles to prepare meals, a task that emphasizes self-reliance and precision.”My favorite part was the cooking session,” shared Syakira, a student from class 5.3. “It was exciting to learn how to balance flavors and work together to ensure the meal turned out just right.”
Closing and Future Objectives
The program concluded with an Awarding Ceremony, recognizing squads and individuals who exhibited exemplary conduct, technical skill, and the true spirit of scouting. In her closing statement, Ustadzah Juniati expressed her hope that these experiences would not remain confined to the campsite. “We expect our students to internalize these scouting values in their daily lives, evolving into individuals who are diligent, skilled, and resilient in the face of future challenges,” she concluded.
