SIDOARJO – The courtyard of SD Al Falah Darussalam 2 Sidoarjo was filled with vibrant energy and applause on Monday morning (9/2). In a strategic move to foster academic synergy, SD Al Falah Darussalam 2 Primary School Sidoarjo officially received an educational visitation from SD Baitul Makmur Malang. This initiative was centered on the exchange of “Best Practices” in instructional management and student character development. This visit serves as a pivotal platform for educators to engage in experiential learning within a live school environment. Furthermore, it aims to enhance teacher competencies, particularly in managing the International Class Program (ICP)—a flagship curriculum that requires specialized pedagogical approaches.

Observing Excellence in the Classroom

During the visitation, the delegation from SD Baitul Makmur Malang observed the classroom atmosphere, the instructional systems, and the dynamic interaction between teachers and students. The visiting educators participated enthusiastically in every session, ranging from direct classroom observations to intensive professional discussions with the faculty of SD Al Falah Darussalam 2. Usth. Mariatul Qibtiyah, S.S., a representative from SD Baitul Makmur Malang, expressed her admiration for the implemented systems.

“Alhamdulillah, we are genuinely pleased with this visit. The learning system at SD Al Falah Darussalam 2 is remarkably well-organized. The students demonstrate high levels of independence, responsibility, and self-awareness. This has been an extraordinary learning experience for us,” she remarked.
Sharing this sentiment, Usth. Choirul Anisa, S.S., highlighted that the student character at SD Al Falah Darussalam 2 is a benchmark worth emulating. “What amazed us most was the students’ character. They are disciplined and aware of their responsibilities without needing constant reminders. This is an exemplary model that we hope to implement at our own school,” she added.

Fostering Institutional Synergy

The Principal of SD Al Falah Darussalam 2 Primary School, Usth. Juniati, extended a warm welcome and expressed her pride in hosting the delegation. She emphasized that such collaborations are vital for the continuous evolution of the education sector.

“We are honored to welcome SD Baitul Makmur Malang. For us, this is more than just a visit; it is a forum for mutual empowerment and collective growth between institutions,” she stated. She further expressed her hope that the shared insights would provide long-term benefits for the guest school. “We strive to maintain consistency in character building so that it remains a deeply rooted culture within our students.”

A Vision for the Future: A National Reference for ICP

The visiting faculty concluded that the conducive learning environment and strong institutional culture are the primary drivers of positive student character. This visitation reinforces the position of SD Al Falah Darussalam 2 International Class Programme as a premier reference school for ICP implementation. As the visit concluded, a representative from the visiting school shared a final hope: “May SD Al Falah Darussalam 2 continue to uphold its excellence in character education, serving as a beacon of inspiration for other educational institutions across the region.”
